Youth Mentor, Whitby (Full-time)

We’re excited to be recruiting a full-time Youth Mentor (Whitby) to shape and deliver the Achieve programme, an ambitious secondary schools programme across Scarborough and Whitby.

The Achieve programme, funded by Anglo-American and the Woodsmith Foundation, aims to support disadvantaged students to achieve their potential by supporting their personal development, connections to aspirations, and improving learning and attainment. 

We’re looking for a committedexperienced Youth Mentor who will undertake significant one-to-one work, as well as group facilitation, with a specific cohort of 25-30 young people.  

This is a brilliant opportunity to support real and positive change to the lives of disadvantaged young people

The vast majority of your work will take place in two schools in Whitby.

From a personnel perspective, you will be directly employed by North Yorkshire Youth, however you will engage with team members from across organisations on a daily basis to work cohesively as Team North Yorkshire Together.

Holiday Activities

North Yorkshire Together runs FEAST, the Holiday Activities and Food programme for North Yorkshire.

Through FEAST, North Yorkshire Together engages dozens of providers to deliver holiday activities and food across the county during Easter, Summer and Christmas periods.
