This summer programme offers a wide range of adventurous, educational and creative activities. Many days are based at East Barnby and focus on outdoor exploration such as river scrambling, moorland walks, woodland adventures, bush craft, canoeing, sailing, climbing and body boarding, helping children build confidence in nature and develop water and outdoor skills.
Other trips include cultural and learning experiences such as visits to Whitby Museum for fossil discovery, Pickering Castle for hands-on medieval history, Robin Hood’s Bay for beach exploration and fossil hunting, and the RNLI Lifeboat Station to learn about water safety. Creative and enrichment days feature clay workshops, music sessions, money planning, helping to prepare food and craft activities.
