The festive season is here, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by enjoying all the exciting FEAST activities happening throughout North Yorkshire for your child! You can laugh through some of the engaging pantomime performances or if your child wants to learn to bake some Christmas treats, we’ve put together a guide filled with Christmas activity ideas to make your holiday break fun at home for the whole family.

FEAST Christmas Events in North Yorkshire:
BlueBoxt Creative and Performing Arts: Creative Christmas Holiday Activities at Leyburn Methodist Church Hall
BlueBoxt be offering a selection of New Year themed activities including our popular Crafty Crafts, Scavenger Squad, Melody Makers, Team Players and Stage Stars. Their Culinary Cadets will be creating nutritious snacks too. There will be opportunities to make puppets, be part of a puppet show and even take your puppets to a New Year Party.
Christmas fun at Inspire Youth Yorkshire Community Hub
Inspire Youth will offer a full and diverse programme of enriching and physical activities within two sessions over the Christmas period.
One session will be a silent disco and cooking. Participants will prepare and consume a buffet meal with involvement of everybody in a way to celebrate being with others alongside other Christmas related fun.
The other sessions is a fantastic opportunity to join a trip to Harrogate Climbing Centre.
North Yorkshire Council Pools
Leisure centre and North Yorkshire Council Pools in Bedale, Brimhams Harrogate, Brimhams Knaresborough, Craven, Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk & Sowerby will be hosting holiday clubs over the Christmas break. Enjoy some fun by having a swim in the pool and some food afterwards! Fun for all the family. Safety is the number one concern for these activities so lifeguarding and supervision is in place for children attending.
Perfect Pitch Stars Performing Arts: New Year Workshop – Church Fenton Village Hall
This workshop will be an exciting and fun performing arts day in a friendly environment, learning songs, dances and acting around your favourite musicals. Children will play games, create short performances of their own ideas, and work with short scripts. There will also be crafts, colouring and snacks! A great chance to develop your confidence, learn new skills and of course make new friends.
WHISH – Whitby Hidden Impairments Support & Help: WHISH Holiday Club – WHISH St Hilda’s Hub
WHISH Holiday Club will offer a wide range of activities such as arts & crafts, VR, air hockey, table football, table tennis, music, quizzes, pool, outdoor games, sensory room access, and of course some lovely seasonal activities.
WHISH is a SEND safe space to leave your child with qualified and experienced staff.

Cosmic Kids Yoga
Keep your child moving over the holiday break by joining one of the exciting sessions from Cosmic Kids Yoga, available on Youtube. There are hundreds videos of yoga adventures for children and young people, each with a different theme or story. Your child can participate in a Frozen or Super Mario themed exercise session, following a story through movement. It is a fantastic way to give your children an indoor activity during the cold days of the holiday.
NSPCC Christmas Family Fun
The NSPCC has created a whole guide of fun indoor and outdoor activities to do as a family. From games to crafts, there are some great ideas to get everyone involved!
