Summer Events:
AMP: Sampler Digital Camp
AMP: SAMPLER is an evening of activities for young people 11-16 years to explore music and creating digital media at The Barn in Tadcaster. Young people will have the opportunity to learn all kinds of creative skills like making beats, songwriting, and creating a podcast or radio show.
Young people will also get the opportunity to design t-shirts to take home.
Base Camp/Thunk-It Theatre SEND-inclusive workshop
The talented team from Thunk-It Theatre are visiting forest school Base Camp to put on a SEND-inclusive performance and workshop. Thunk-It will use the great outdoors to inspire young people to participate in creativity and fun amongst the trees, including crafting, movement, and performance like singing and theatre, all in a supportive and welcoming setting.
This session is open to all, including carers.
Laughing Giraffe Holiday Club
Laughing Giraffe in Roecliffe, near Boroughbridge, is hosting an incredible holiday club full of summer fun! It takes places in their soft play centre so there will be plenty of free play alongside team games and time trials – often involving prizes! If kids need a break from being active, there are loads of arts and crafts, boardgames, books and jigsaws to get involved with. There’s also going to be two exciting days of cake decorating and pizza making. Look forward to visits from magicians, face-painters, foam clay makers and more!
Summer FunFest
Ripon Together will be hosting their Summer FunFest! There will be many outdoor, active events but when the young people want to work on their creative skills, there will be space for crafts and more mindful projects. Qualified and experienced coaches will be around to support and guide young people with cricket, rounders, football, croquet, tennis, crazy golf, circus skills, sumo wrestling, tug of war and a giant inflatable obstacle course. Free drinks, healthy snacks and free lunches are available for participants.
